Photos from KL Apartment

Once again some photos from my latest business trip to KL. As I mention I am staying in the company apartment this time and below are the photos I took in the morning. As I am sharing the apartment with another manager from HongKong I took the smaller room which was just next to the kitchen.

The apartment has 2 rooms, one which include a bathtub and a queen sized bed and the other (the one I am staying in) include a single bed. Yup thats all. For me I will be using the common bathroom which happen to be just outside of my room. So technically everything is just within my reach once I walk out of my room. Kitchen to my right, bathroom to my left.

But if you ask me if I want to stay there again if I go over to KL... well I hope not cos getting a cab is really hard around there. I got to wait about 30 minutes before a cab will come and the fare is RM20 for just a 5 minutes drive.

Ok talk less more photos :)

In Company KL Apartment

Back to KL again and this time no more staying in hotel... maybe due to budget constraint or something I am now staying in the Company Apartment just opposite my KL office.

I think I am becoming more and more of a regional person cos my scope of work now not only from Singapore but mainly from Malaysia as well. Who know maybe next time Thailand, Hong Kong or even China will involve me...

I dun really mind traveling but of cos the $ must be good but it seem now that $ is not so good after all... Anyway got to end this post good. Need to change and get ready to go on site for some testing. So far the trip is fine and everything is moving just hope this afternoon meeting will be a smooth one as well.

Who got a mask for me??? Heard need to wear one because of I just touch down yesterday...

Why manager get higher pay

After IPT now come work... seem like I can never get the chance to rest. I dun mind chiong abit since I am still young but the $ I am getting for my work is really to little compared with the scope which I need to perform.

Plus now I finally understand why managers are paid highly. It is not just because they have more experiences or what but because managers deal with another type of stress which engineers do not experience. For engineers mainly just need to stress over datelines and how to solve the problem. But for a manager things are pretty different. Managers may not need to worry too much on the technical side but in meetings with customers they will need to think how to answer the customer questions in a split of a second and yet the answer should not offend the customer nor cost any disadvantage to the manager. Also whatever decision the manager made he will be held responsible for it and whether his team of engineers will follow his instructions or not also matter greatly.

For engineers who still think that managers should not be getting such high $ well think again. If you were to be put in a manager position for just 1 week I think you will also agree with me that the $ managers get really worth every single cent.
