Singapore Zoo a popular must visit tourist site in Singapore had a sad news yesterday afternoon when a Malaysian worker (cleaner) from Sarawak died after he was mauled by tigers. Many visitors watched in horror as this man was attacked by not 1 but 3 white tigers.
Although it was not known why did the worker jump into the tiger exhibit but his action had caused his death. Was he suffering from too much stress? Or was it purely an accident? No one know for sure except maybe for him. It was known that man started working at the zoo in Jun and is believed to had been scheduled to clean a separate exhibit and was not supposed to be in the tiger enclosure.
The zoo management had sent condolences to the man's family and would provide any assistance they needed. To ensure the safety of all visitors and staff, the management had decided to temporary close the white tiger exhibit. Thou I had not been to the zoo for quite sometime it would never had struck me that such an accident would happen at the place where safety was the primary concern for visitors, staffs and the animals.
I hope this also spread a message to all visitors and staffs that even thou safely measures had been put in place, personal care still need to be enforced. Remember zoo is a place for fun and education, not a place for grief.

Seriously no matter how much safety measures you put up, there is no way you can stop or prevent somebody from committing suicide if he really wants to.
Ya true. Still that is one of the most horrible way to suicide if you ask me.
Totally agree! If I were to commit suicide, I'd rather shhot myself in the head than doing anything else.. I don't like slow death. =D
A tragic incident indeed.
A tragic incident both for the deceased, deceased family and to the visitors who had to witness the gruesome attack.
His handphone will reveal the last calls and traces of clues..which made him decide to suicide..
