Rune today brought us to Red Star Chinese Restaurant for Dim Sum lunch. It is quite a change from the usual lunch which we have since at our office place it is either hawker food or fastfood so having Dim Sum is really a very good and well plan change.

5 of us went there and we order a total of about 22 dishes including their famous "Da Bao" which is really really very very BIG!!! The usual Da Bao which we have is a person portion but the one served at Red Star is for 4 persons as they need to cut the Bao into 4 pieces! I ate a piece and it is really very nice and filling. I would highly recommend this if anyone is going.

The next 2 dishes which I like very much is Char Siew Sou and the patter of Char Siew & Roasted Pork. The pastry skin was thin and it was filled with the sweet and hot char siew, making it very delicious. As for the patter well it was somehow cold but still being a standard dish to order I would say the Char Siew was surprising good.

Another good thing I like about Red Star which I can bring back from today lunch is the nostalgic atmosphere and the push-carts that serve dim sum. It bring a very nice Yum Chai feel and somehow you will feel like you are in Hong Kong.

So I guess now you must be how much did we spend. Well each basket is about $3.50 to $4.00 so in total we spend about $88 for 5 person. Not very cheap but I would say is worth the money. So do give it a try if you have not try it yet.
